Question: I want to take a romantic vacation in Northern California, but I'm not sure where to go. I would prefer it be quiet, and it has to be completely ocean front. Recommendations?

Answer: Northern California is an excellent choice for a quiet romantic vacation. There are numerous small towns and villages and some lovely resorts as well. Most of the ocean front lodgings here are located on bluffs overlooking the coast, and many offer outstanding views.

Victorian architecture is abundant along the Northern California coast, and some of these inns feature restored Victorian structures. There are even accommodations at two of the historic lighthouses. The suggestions below include inns, bed and breakfast establishments and motels. They're listed from north to south.
