This map of Northern California beaches shows all the best California beaches from Del Norte County south through Sonoma County.

The beaches here are rugged and wild. They’re great for exploring tide pools, collecting driftwood, enjoying wildlife, hiking, camping and more.

This is redwood country, and many of the beaches in Del Norte and Humboldt Counties are part of Redwood National Park or one of several Redwood State Parks.

Other highlights include the wilderness of the California Lost Coast, the beauty and charm of the village of Mendocino and the headlands surrounding it, and the recreational opportunities on the scenic Sonoma Coast.
