Why Would a gal from Tennessee Start a Web Site About California Beaches?
As it turns out, I'm not really from Tennessee. We left California over a decade ago, and I've been missing it ever since. I lived in California for twenty-five years, from the time I was thirteen until I was 38. I've explored the coast from north to south. I've lived in Sacramento, the East Bay area, San Luis Obispo, Orange County and Fresno. But it's the beaches I miss the most. I long to enjoy the solitude and wildness of early spring at Point Reyes. I want to go searching once again for treasures of beach glass and shells on the beach at Cayucos. I want to poke around the tide pools at Corona del Mar, and watch the fog roll in at Montana de Oro. They say that to get what you want, keep focusing on it, thinking about it, feeling it. Sooner or later, you'll find a way to make it happen. They also say that you'll get what you want if you help enough people get what they want. I want to return to the California beaches I love, and you (presumably) want information about those beaches, so you can enjoy them too. So here I am, making it happen for both of us.
